Momofuku Ando, inventor of the pot noodle, 1910-2007
The Fleet Street obituaries of
this great hero the twentieth century made reference to his enjoyment of a bowl
of instant noodles almost every day. His book "Momofuku Ando Speaks" apparently
lays bare his strategy for motivating employees. Picking on some hapless
individual, he would bawl out "What are you doing now?" -
"Calling out to them in this way shocks them into re-evaluating what
they're doing" was his explanation for this rather alarming behaviour.
